Use Caution to Safely Clean up Debris

Tallahassee, Fla.— Residents and others working to clean up debris left by Hurricane Michael could be at risk of sustaining injuries, and the Florida Department of Health is urging residents to practice caution when cleaning in and around their homes.

As the Florida Panhandle recovers from Hurricane Michael, Florida Health is urging everyone to avoid carbon monoxide (CO) exposure by taking precautions with portable generators, gas-powered appliances and charcoal or gas grills.
